Six states and the FCT have recorded 146 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the figures released on Friday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
No deaths were reported, the agency said.
This was disclosed by the NCDC on its official website on Friday.
According to NCDC, the 146 new cases were recorded from Lagos, Enugu, FCT and four other states.
Lagos recorded the highest figures for new infections with 110 new cases, Enugu – 18, Oyo – 7, Rivers – 5, Gombe- 3, Kaduna– 1 while the FCT reported two infections.
The health agency said that the 146 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 168,256.
So far, 164,415 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged in the country, the agency said.
With no new death recorded, the death toll from the virus remains 2,122, NCDC said.
It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
