Fashion entrepreneurs and enthusiasts gathered at the Grand Ballroom of Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, for the African Print Part; an event to celebrate African fashion.
The event is part of activities marking the African Print Festival, which is usually held across several African countries to facilitate the patronage of local brands.
The event, which was anchored by TV host, Amanda Dara, featured a fashion showcase that enabled designers to showcase their richly patterned and colourful designs. Models were adorned in different luxurious African prints and styles, ranging from adire to lace, ankara, aso oke and headgears (gele). The show was hosted.
At the end of the event, there was an exhibition where different vendors of African prints and design showcased their products for sale. The products included shoes, bags, clothes and fashion accessories; all in African prints.
Some corporate brands, such as Guinness and Eva wine, were also on hand to support the African fashion industry by serving drinks to guests at the event.
