The Kisarazu Camp of Team Nigeria ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has been described as a good atmosphere to prepare the athletes for the challenges in Japan.
“It was a very good decision to arrive in camp on time for the games and I am so excited with the quality of equipment in the camp coupled with the serene atmosphere,” captain of Team Nigeria Quadri Aruna noted. “The camp is big a motivation to the athletes and coaches.”
Taekwondist Elizabeth Anyanacho is also thrilled by the facilities in the camp:“ The facilities and the training venue are good and they are really observing the COVID-19 protocol. It is a great organisation for us here in Kisarazu and I must commend the Ministry for this effort to put us in a good mood for the game.”
Offiong Edem, who is featuring in her fourth Olympic Games could also not hide her excitement after touching down in Tokyo.
She said: “It has been a good feeling arriving in Tokyo because I have been looking forward to this day especially with the postponement of the game necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I will not forget every moment I’ll spend in Tokyo.”
