A POWERFUL 5.9 magnitude earthquake has rocked the Greek island of Rhodes.
The earthquake struck off the coast of the island shortly after 12.30pm, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

Tremors were felt as far away as Cyprus and Crete.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The quake was also felt in nearby Turkey.
